FORT KENT, Maine – St. John Valley Senior College is offering a class on “The Veteran Experience”. The class will include a panel of veterans of different wars who will talk about their experiences during their military service. Included will be “What prompted you to join the military?”, “What type of work did you do in the military?”, and “What was the most memorable experience while in the service?”

The class is an opportunity to hear first-hand from veterans who have given their time to serve us, and how their experience in the military is individual and different. In addition to the presentations, members of the Fort Kent American Legion will do a flag folding ceremony and explain the origin and significance of the flag as well as the meaning of each of the 13 folds.

The class will be held on Friday, November 10, the day before Veterans Day from 1-3 p.m. at Fort Kent American Legion Hall. Please call 207-834-3536 to register for this class.
