The Fort Kent Ladies of St. Anne joined together recently to raise funds to aid in fulfilling their mission of helping families, their community and their church.
Funds collected will be distributed to various organizations in the Fort Kent area over the next several months.
The Fort Kent sodality presented a $500 check to Father Alex for the Frenchville Christian Life Center’s Golden Jubilee celebration. In addition, the sodality helped with the Christian Life Center’s fundraising efforts by purchasing $100 worth of raffle tickets in the name of each of the 130 Ladies of St. Anne members.
The Fort Kent Ladies of St. Anne strive to do what they can to ensure the center can continue to provide services to people throughout Aroostook County and beyond.
The group encourages other women to join a St. Anne sodality in their community. Membership is a great way to stay engaged and get reacquainted with old friends, make new ones, and make a difference in their community, Fort Kent sodality officials said.
