To the editor:
That was an interesting article on the “changing of the guard” at Sport Vehicle in the Nov. 1 paper. Peter will be missed. Whenever and whatever i needed for my riding lawnmower, he had or would get quickly. If it was a small part that he didn’t have on hand, oftentimes he would dig through his collection of good used parts and just give it to me, to get me running again.
He always had time to explain how something might affect something else, even when you knew he was busy. If you’ve had a chance to view a disassembled ATV transmission laying in pieces on a bench, you know it’s a little more involved than changing a spark plug in your old Craftsman push mower.
Thirty-seven years dealing with the public is probably enough. The new owners started off on the right food with the new name Steve & Sons.
