To the editor:
I don’t know how many times the Democrats have said if Trump is elected again that will be the end of democracy in America. They never explain their reasoning. I guess everyone is just expected to take their word for it. Unfortunately, many people do.
On the other hand, I think Biden and the Democrats are the party that is trying to end democracy in our country. Here are some of some of the reasons that drove me to that conclusion.
They want D.C. and Puerto Rico given statehood. That will be four more senate votes that will surely go to them, giving them what they hope will be control of the Senate for years to come.
Their desire to end the Senate filibuster so laws can be passed by majority vote.
They want an open border to let in as many people as possible. Obvious reason: The people entering our country illegally are Biden fans who will also in the future likely be Democrat voters.
The fact that one of Biden’s first executive orders requires non-citizens to be included in the census and “Apportionment of congressional representatives” leads me to question the motives behind his open border policy.
The Democrats also want to federalize elections by proposing the “For the People Act.” Although there may be some positive things in the act, it also opens the door for widespread voter fraud.
There are still Democrats that show interest in changing the number of Supreme Court judges to 13, hoping to gain some kind of advantage from a court stacked in their favor.
The next step by the Democrats to gain total control of our country will be amnesty for illegals. I hope we as a nation wake up before it’s too late, because the Democrats in power don’t seem to care. Power at any cost appears to be their quest. I would like nothing better than to be proven wrong. There are two sides to every story. I’m open to hearing the other side.
