     HALLETT, Terry G., 75, PORTLAND & PRESQUE ISLE, at Scarborough, July 27, 2014. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Kings Grove Cemetery in Mars Hill.

    PORTLAND & PRESQUE ISLE – Terry G. Hallett passed away July 27, 2014, at Gosnell Hospice in Scarborough, ME. He was born in Presque Isle on July 26, 1939, the youngest child of Ralph and Florence (Adams) Hallett.
    He was raised in Presque Isle and graduated from Presque Isle High School in 1959. He then began his career as a sales manager for several companies all over New England. He was forced to retire in 1994 due to health problems and settled in the Portland area for the remainder of his days. He was an animal lover and enjoyed being outside taking care of his yard until his health would no longer permit it.
    He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Cynthia (Bruns) Hallett of Long Island, ME; his daughters, Ronda Pendergast and her husband, Michael of New Sweden, ME, and Rene’ Pocock and her husband, Michael of Coppell, TX; five grandchildren, Ryan Pratt of Caribou, Jacob Philbrick of NH, Jillian Philbrick of Presque Isle, Heather Pocock of IN, and Jennifer Flores and her husband, Omar of TX; five great-grandchildren, Taryn, Regan, Paityn, Paul, and Brantley; his brother, Donald of South Portland; his uncle, Herman and his wife, Beverly of Hermon; several nieces and nephews.
    He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Ralph Jr. and Richard; and sister, Avis Miller. He was also predeceased by the mother of his children, Helen “Tiny” (Weaver) Hallett.
    We would like to send a special thank you to the staff of Seventy-Five State Street, the assisted living facility in Portland where Terry had resided for the last few years. They are very kind and caring people who gave him excellent care. Also a special thank you to the staff at Gosnell Hospice in Scarborough where Terry spent the last three days of his life.
    There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Kings Grove Cemetery in Mars Hill. Memorial contributions may be made to the hospice or animal shelter of your choice.
