FORT KENT, Maine – Daigle Oil Company, a 69-year-old, employee-owned energy company based in Fort Kent, announced it purchased Mapleton Oil Company’s propane division on Friday, January 26. The purchase includes propane delivery service, tanks, trucks and related equipment.
DOC began offering DOC Propane to customers in the spring of 2011 as a strategy to grow its product offerings. The addition of Mapleton Oil’s propane division to DOC Propane demonstrates the company’s commitment to seek opportunities to grow, along with taking steps towards improving communities and servicing customers.
Carter Vaillancourt, DOC COO, shares that the newly acquired Mapleton Oil propane customers’ accounts have successfully transferred into DOC’s system and that the entire team is ready to welcome these valued customers and provide the same quality service with which they are familiar. He added, “We are excited about this acquisition to a growing segment of our business. The two companies share similar customer service values, so we knew it would be a great fit. We are honored to continue serving a customer base that we know has been in good hands.”
