CARIBOU, Maine — Principal Jamie Selfridge announces the opening of the Caribou High School Class of 2024 Hall of Fame nomination applications.
Selfridge and the Caribou High School National Honor Society are seeking nominations for the fourth “Alumni Hall of Fame” ceremony, which honors school alumni who have made notable strides in their adult lives.
The 2024 Hall of Fame committee, school administration, co-chairs and NHS members along with their advisor Dr. ValerieAnn Waldemarson are organizing the school’s ceremony, which will occur on April 26 in the Caribou Performing Arts Center.
Anyone can nominate two worthy candidates by going to the RSU 39 website and find an online submission form in the Hall of Fame page. The submission form can be submitted online through email or printed out and mailed to Caribou High School, CHS Hall of Fame, 308 Sweden Street, Caribou, Maine 04736.
The Hall of Fame is a community-oriented event, and will be open to a number of community members.
Caribou High School has a long-standing tradition of success. The Hall of Fame highlights the continued success of our alumni and really emphasizes how hard they have worked. The Hall of Fame is located in one of the main halls of the high school and inducted members’ photos hang proudly on display.
Following every hall of fame ceremony, large framed photos are added to the left side of the wall of the first-floor hallway leading to the gym, library and cafeteria. As the wall fills up, the photos of first-year inductees will be moved to the right side of the wall, while the newest members will remain on the left side.
The deadline for nominations is March 15.
Any questions about the event can be directed to Selfridge at jselfridge@rsu39.org or Dr. Waldemarson at vwaldemarson@rsu39.org.
