Musical note – Elementary students of Fort Kent dined to the organ music of the director of music for SAD 27, Joel Morneault. On the last day of school, June 13, 1974, a pleasant surprise awaited Fort Kent Elementary School’s student body. The ingenious director of music for SAD 27 had been scheduled to play for the eighth grade graduation and banquet that afternoon. He surprised the student body by playing favorite selections to all three groups, who dine at different time periods. His performance was so well received that many students and teachers requested the same service for every day of the 1974-75 school year.
