Plans are underway for the Miss Aroostook Pageant, slated on Aug. 25 in Caribou, and organizers are now accepting applications for contestants of all ages.
This year’s event will be held at the newly remodeled Caribou Inn & Convention Center, promising a thrilling experience for all. The pageant, a program of Crossroads, a 501(c)3 organization based in Saco, is currently seeking contestants of all ages to participate for a day of elegance, empowerment and celebration.
Crossroads is dedicated to assisting, advocating and educating youth to become positive, resilient and contributing members of society. The organization provides a safe environment that empowers higher education and healthy living, fosters social responsibility and encourages community involvement. By participating in Miss Aroostook, contestants will not only showcase their talents and poise but also support a cause that makes a significant impact on the youth of our community.
Contestants will showcase their poise, intelligence, and style in a series of competitions, including a panel-style interview, runway fashion and evening gown segments. Additionally, participants can opt to compete in categories such as Role Model, Supermodel, casual wear and non-performance talent. The winners of Miss Aroostook will not only earn the crown but will also advance to compete at the Maine Academic Scholarship Pageant in September 2025, representing the pride and talent of Aroostook County.
Last year’s pageant was a resounding success, raising over $600 that was used to purchase snack foods that were distributed to teachers across Aroostook County for their classrooms. This year, we aim to surpass that achievement and make an even greater impact.
