JORDAN, Earl Donald, 83, CHAPMAN, August 30, 2014. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014, at the Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.
CHAPMAN – Earl Donald Jordan, 83, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2014, at his residence in Chapman. He was born on January 12, 1931, in Presque Isle, the son of Earl and Beatrice (Greene) Jordan. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Don worked many years at Etscovitz garage in Presque Isle as a mechanic and general manager, own and operated Don’s Auto Sales and Service, and then worked as an automotive instructor at SAD 1 , retiring in 2000 as the Director of the Presque Isle Regional Technology Center. He served as School board member of SAD 1, and was a board member of Skyview Estates in Lakeland, Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Marlene (Conley) Jordan of Chapman; a son, Michael Jordan and his wife, Karen of Presque Isle; four daughters, Maureen Jordan, Sheila Eivers and her husband, John, Sherri Jordan, all of Presque Isle, Susan Miller and her husband, Philip of Caribou; four grandchildren, Jeremiah and Amanda Eivers, Tiffany Miller-Gagnon, and Alexander Jordan; one great-grandchild, Aimee Eivers; three sisters and their husbands, Dorothy and Joe Gall of NY, Marie and David Spencer of NY, Elizabeth and Ken Van Druff of VA; three brothers and their spouses, Stanley and Dolores Jordan of Easton, Bernard and Elaine Jordan of Houlton, and Richard Jordan of Presque Isle; a sister-in-law, Helen Bagley and her husband, Gerry of Hollis Center; two brothers-in-law, Merle Gray and Fred Budreau of Conn.
Don was predeceased by his parents; his first wife, Marion (Niles) Jordan in 1997, whom he married on Dec. 25, 1951; five sisters, Ruth Robinson and her husband, Don, Irene Gray, Phyllis Patton and her husband, Bernard, Earla Budreau, and Myrtle Haines; and a brother; Merle Jordan.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Wed., Sept. 3, 2014, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with Wendall Hudson officiating. Friends may call noon until time of service at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be at Fairmount Cemetery Presque Isle at a later date.
