At the annual summer meeting of the Aroostook Bar Association, Linda Cyr was honored for her service as clerk in the Fort Kent District Court for over 38 years.

Jefferson Ashby, president of the Aroostook Bar Association, presented to Cyr a clock with the following inscription,”In sincere and grateful appreciation of your unparalleled competence, consistently kind cooperation and cordiality while performing your duties as the Maine District Court clerk in Fort Kent since December 2, 1985. “

Cyr has announced that she intends to retire from her current position as of September 1.

Speaking of the award ceremony honoring Cyr, Ashby said, “In my career as an attorney, I have encountered no court clerk more competent than Linda Cyr nor anyone in the court system as cooperative and cordial as she always is. All of those who utilize the Fort Kent court will sorely miss her presence.”
