Skies remain mostly sunny today and a bit warmer as high pressure drifts east and southwest flow sets up across the Saint John Valley. Smoke from western wildfires returns today, mainly aloft, but some lower-level smoke haze is possible later today. Highs reach the upper 70s while overnight lows fall into the mid-50s under mostly clear skies.
Thursday remains mostly sunny as high pressure moves east into the Atlantic. Daytime highs peak in the low 80s. Thursday night features mostly clear skies with light south winds and lows in the middle 50s.
Mostly sunny skies continue on Friday with southerly flow across the SJV. Highs climb into the upper 70s with partly cloudy skies Friday night and temperatures in the lower 50s.

For the weekend, an occluding low pressure system approaches from the west while a closed low moves northwards from the south as high pressure drifts northeast of the region. Presently, mostly sunny skies are expected across the Valley Saturday with increasingly cloudy skies Saturday night. Highs reach the low 70s with overnight lows in the middle 50s.
The occluded front is expected to cross the region Sunday with a chance of showers under mostly cloudy skies. A chance of showers continues Sunday night into Monday as the front moves through and east of the SJV. Highs in the upper 60s with overnight temperatures in the lower 50s.
Monday looks partly sunny with a chance of showers with partly cloudy skies and a chance of showers Monday night as an upper-level trough approaches from the west. Highs in the mid-60s with lows in the upper 40s/low 50s are expected Monday night.
The upper trough moves across the region Tuesday producing partly sunny skies and a chance of showers. Partly cloudy skies with a chance of showers continues Tuesday night. Highs in the mid-60s with lows in the upper 40s are anticipated.
