Event painting
Ken Lund, a 1999 graduate of the University of Maine at Presque Isle, donated a painting to the university during the recent Homecoming Weekend.

Lund, a Caribou native now residing in South Portland, does “event painting,” which he took up while residing in California a few years ago. A former soccer player for the Owls, he had been communicating with coach Alan Gordon through Facebook and decided to come up to capture the day at Park Family Field by setting up near the entrance and doing a painting of the team’s homecoming game against Fisher College Sept. 20. The finished product was then donated to the university and will be displayed at Wieden Hall. Lund holds a bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree from UMPI where his younger brother, Ron, is currently a student.
