Salmon Brook museum seeks continued assistance

The Salmon Brook Historical Society’s Wilder Homestead Museum had a successful summer, from the tea and quilt show in August to the baked bean supper on Oct. 18. Members expressed thanks to the Washburn

Rotary Club and all who attended.

A quilt raffle was won by Pat Glidden, and a Leila Flewelling doll raffle was won by Robin Haynes.
The society plans all of these events again next summer and could use the community’s help. They had a goal to replace the old, worn-out furnace, update wiring, and paint the barn. To help with these necessary expenses, they developed a wall of fame as follows: $1,000, platinum level; $500, gold level; $250, silver level; $100, bronze level; and $20-99, friends level.
The society reported a very good response, and thanked all contributors.
Assistance is still needed, so anyone who can help may send a donation to the Salmon Brook Historical Society, P.O. Box 71, Washburn, ME 04786.
