TARDIE, Marilyn Jean, 81, MAPLETON, at Presque Isle, November 23, 2014. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, November 28, at State Street Baptist Church, Mapleton. Arrangements are under the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.
MAPLETON – Marilyn Jean Tardie, 81, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014, after a short illness. Marilyn was born September 11, 1933, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Earl and Madalyn (Rediker) Buchanan.
She worked as a seamstress for many years and especially loved spending time with her family. She was a faithful member of the State Street Baptist Church.
Jean is survived by her children and their spouses: Steven and Laurie of Presque Isle, Andrew and Roxanne of Ashland, Susan and Kevin Sjoberg of Presque Isle; her grandchildren: Iva Tardie, Emily, Jacob and Faith Sjoberg, Fallyn and Olivia Tardie, and Ashley Disy; and a great-grandson, Xander. She will also be missed by her brother, Philip Buchanan of Presque Isle; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Davis C. Tardie; and her three sisters: Patricia Buchanan, Delores Raymond and Marjorie Bishop.
Friends and family may call Wednesday, November 26, 2014, from 6-8 p.m., at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church Street, Presque Isle. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, November 28, at State Street Baptist Church, Rev. Buck Booker officiating.
