After The Bell is hosting breakfast with Santa at Fort Street School on Saturday, Dec. 6. This event is hosted by After The Bell, as well as Project One, Maine Hands and Voices, and TAMC. This year there are over 250 registered who will be receiving a new pair of jammies from Santa.

Children will have breakfast, make crafts and meet Santa, the Grinch and the TAMC Bear. ATB members are excited to partner with Maine Hands and Voices in providing signers and cuers for children that are deaf/hard of hearing. Organizers are excited to have the Grinch and Santa at the event.
The Project One group of volunteers have teamed up with ATN and are playing a vital part in the event; we are thankful for Jonathan Kelly, Renee Fournier, Jessica Ouellette and Jamie Chandler for their support. This is our second annual event and last year was a success.
Children who are not registered can still attend. We are out of pajamas but parents can either get jammies to Jamie by calling 694-1320 prior to the event or children can attend for breakfast, photos and crafts. All events and activities are free. We have been blessed by a donor that has donated all of our pajamas again this year! This is very exciting and we look forward to seeing many happy faces again this year.

Rotary Club

The Mars Hill Rotary Club met on Tuesday morning, Nov. 25, at 6:30 a.m. at the Aroostook Health Center.  The special speakers were Emera Maine representatives Mike Eaton, rates manager, and Gina LaBlanc-Eggert, customer service supervisor.
Mike spoke about the various parts of our Emera Maine bill, specifically supply and delivery.
The supply portion of the bill is not set by Emera, although they include this cost on their bill. It is managed by the Maine Public Utilities Commission and depends on market conditions and bids received.
The delivery rate is set by Emera and includes regional transmission of bulk power, the poles, wires and substations and contract costs.
Maine has the lowest rates in New England. The northern district includes 36,000 accounts, 30,000 of them residential.
