Landowners honored at annual banquet
AUGUSTA — Seven corporate and private landowners from across Maine were honored on Oct. 21, as the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife and the Maine Snowmobile Association recognized their generosity during the annual Landowner/Land User Recognition Banquet. These landowners are exceptional partners to IF&W and user groups, and support the Maine tradition of recreating on their private property.
Announcing and giving out the awards at the Augusta Civic Center were Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Commissioner Chandler Woodcock and Outdoor Partners Landowner Relations Program Specialist Rick LaFlamme.
Recognized from Aroostook County was Irving Woodlands LLC, of Fort Kent, which received the Corporate Landowner award.
The IF&W Outdoor Partners Landowner Relations Program strives to maintain Maine’s unique heritage and ensure that the outdoor recreational opportunities available today will continue to be available to future generations.
