PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Aroostook Partners in the Arts hosted another successful event Saturday, Jan. 24. After hosting “Mary Poppins,” “Willy Wonka” and a zombie event, this was a chance for “Star Wars” fans to get in on the action and they did.
“Star Wars” fans of all ages gathered at the Braden Theatre in Presque Isle to watch the original 1977 “Episode IV.” Many arrived in costumes. Movie-goers were able to enjoy a photo op, the movie, as well as popcorn and many other treats.
This event helps the Partners in the Arts bring artists and other cultural experiences to area schools. This event did just that.
Officials with the Partners in the Arts program wish to thank the community for embracing these movie events and making it possible.
