There will be a silent auction and dessert night at Central Aroostook High School on Friday, Feb. 27, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
This event will raise funds to help the CAHS Youth in Government take a trip to Washington, D.C.
Adult education
The MSAD #42 Spring Adult Education classes will begin on Monday, Feb. 23, and run through Thursday, April 16. The following classes are being offered: Quilting on Mondays and Thursdays, Woodworking on Tuesdays, Primitive Crafts on Tuesdays and Knitting on Thursdays. All classes will begin at 6 p.m. Materials for classes are the responsibility of the participant.

Winterfest
The 14th Annual Mars Hill and Blaine Winterfest will be held this year on March 13-15. Mark your calendar for your favorite events, which include supper, youth ball games, breakfast, a 5K run, cribbage, a penny carnival, helicopter rides (weather permitting), Bingo, a talent show and more.
Rotary Club
The Mars Hill Rotary Club met on Tuesday morning, Feb. 17 at 6:30 a.m. at the Aroostook Health Center. The club discussed upcoming events.
Turkey dinner
As part of this year’s Winterfest activities, the Mars Hill Rotary Club will be holding a turkey dinner with all the fixin’s on Friday, March 13, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Central Aroostook High School. Tickets are $8 each for adults, and $5 for age 10 and under. Tickets are available from any Mars Hill Rotarian.
Delivered meals for area shut-ins can be ordered by calling Kathy at 425-3771 before the night of the supper.
Library news
For the safety of the patrons, the library remains closed while the ceiling and lighting replacement is being implemented.
We apologize for this inconvenience and look forward to seeing everyone when the library reopens.
Aroostook Health Center
Upcoming events for the week of Feb. 25-March 3 include: Wednesday will feature the Beauty Parlor at 8:30 a.m., Morning Stretch at 9:30 a.m., Crossword Puzzle Challenge at 1:30 p.m. and East Ridge at 6:30 p.m.; Thursday will feature Beauty Parlor at 8:30 a.m., Bingo at 9:30 a.m., and Horse Racing at 1:30 p.m.; Friday will feature Five Cards Bingo at 9:30 a.m., Birthday Party and Karaoke with Larry and Larry at 1:30 p.m.; Saturday will feature Bingo at 9:30 a.m.; Sunday will be a free day; Monday will feature Morning Stretch at 9:30 a.m., Nail Beautiful at 10:00 a.m., Catholic Mass at 1:30 p.m. and Gospel Group at 6:30 p.m.; Tuesday will feature the Beauty Parlor at 8:30 a.m., Bingo at 9:30 a.m. and Card Games at 1:30 p.m.

Bingo
The William Cousins Post 118 of Mars Hill is hosting Bingo every Saturday evening from 7 p.m. until done. There are cash prizes. Refreshments are available. Come on out and enjoy a fun evening with friends.
After The Bell
After The Bell’s Running Club is in full swing on Wednesday nights from 6-7, led by Dr. Renee Fournier. Thursday after school participants will be running with Evan Kearney. On Friday, members will be ice skating after school until 4:30 p.m. Next week running continues with the Running Club on Tuesday after school led by Janice Wright.
