PRESQUE ISLE – Robert Louis Dufour, 83, died Wednesday morning, January 24, 2007 at a Caribou healthcare facility after a long illness. He was born at Edmundston, N.B. Canada, on May 10, 1923, the son of Fred and Rose Ann (Landry) Dufour.
Mr. Dufour worked as a baker and a chef, for Don Aucoin, ABC Bakery, and Univ. of Maine at Presque Isle. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and an active 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus in Presque Isle.
He is survived by four sons; Roger of Presque Isle, John and his wife Debbie of Mapleton, Maurice of Mapleton, and Kenneth of Caribou. Three brothers; Albert Dufour of St. Basil, N.B., Allain and Alfred Dufour of Montreal, Ont. 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Theresa (Levesque) Dufour, and two sisters, Alfreda Cunningham, and Rosealine Dufour.
Relatives and friends called 7-9PM Friday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated 10 AM Saturday January 27, 2007 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Raymond Morency celebrant.
