Irish Fest to benefit
Catholic Charities’ Farm for ME program

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine The Presque Isle-based financial services firm of Thompson-Hamel, LLC will be hosting Irish Fest, a fun-filled day to kick off St. Patty’s Day with engaging indoor and outdoor activities that will appeal to all ages of the family.

This charity event will benefit Catholic Charities Farm for ME for the 2015 growing season. Join organizers on Saturday, March 14, to not only support local communities, but to create memorable experiences with all of your friends and family.
The fun runs from 1-7 p.m. at the Nordic Heritage Center in Presque Isle. The day will feature a leprechaun hunt, with $1,000 in prizes; a kids’ gold dollar hunt; snowshoe races; dog sled rides; hot cocoa; and activities for kids, food, drinks, fun and a live band!
Entrance Fee: $10 for adults, $5 for ages 12 and under, $25 for a family — includes supper from 4-7 p.m. and all activities on site; leprechaun hunt is additional.
All proceeds benefit Catholic Charities Farm for ME, a project that raises fresh vegetables on six acres for distribution to needy families through 24 food pantries in Aroostook County. More than 200,000 people go hungry in Maine each day. Sadly, more than 61,000 of them are children. Catholic Charities is committed to ending food insecurity here in Maine; their first harvest alone fed some 4,435 people with an average of two pounds of local, organic, fresh-packed or frozen food!
