Grace Elizabeth (Bernard) Rattray

     RATTRAY, Grace Elizabeth (Bernard), 86, PRESQUE ISLE, March 21, 2015. A graveside service will be held later in the spring at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle. Arrangements are under the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

    PRESQUE ISLE – Grace Elizabeth (Bernard) Rattray, 86, born on November 29, 1928, in Willimantic, ME, passed away Saturday morning, March 21, 2015, at The Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle.
    She was predeceased by her loving husband of 47 years, Elmer James Rattray.
    Grace worked at Zayre Department Store in Presque Isle for many years and was an assistant manager when she retired. She loved to spend weekends with her family at their camp on Portage Lake.
    She is survived by her long time companion, Phil Knowlton of Woodland, ME; a son, Dan Rattray and his wife, Cindy, of Shelbyville, KY; a daughter, Diana Rattray Lawhon and her husband, Loy, of Scarborough, ME; sisters, Freda Marquis of Auburn, ME, and Ruth Merritt of Wells, ME; grandchildren, Shannon Demers of Pembrook, NH, Sean Demers of Iowa City, IA, and Kevin Demers of Warwick, RI; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
    In addition to her husband, Grace was also predeceased by her parents, Edward and Jessie (Doten) Bernard; brother, Edward Bernard; and sisters, Dorothy and Janet Bernard.
    A graveside service will be held later in the spring at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle.
