Who can we trust today?
To the editor:
In the world we live in today, it is hard to find someone who will tell you the truth or someone you can trust.
During election time we received phone calls and letters, daily, telling us how well we would be represented by the individual seeking office; also, if they could ever assist us in any way, please contact them.
In the past three months, I have written our senators and representatives in Washington and Augusta and the only answer I received is from Sen. Angus King.
Like the saying goes, so hard to remember, so easy to forget.
Why do these people say things they don’t mean?
I wonder how they can go to bed at night and sleep knowing they have deceived the people. It appears they have forgotten what truth and trust mean.
What has happened to America, a nation with a government “of the people, by the people and for the people?”
