McConnell turns 99 years old
PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — A 99th birthday party was held April 12, 2015 for William (Bill) McConnell at the residence of his sister Mary McConnell Little and her daughter, Nancy Little.
Attending were his brother, Jim McConnell; nephew Marcus McConnell and some friends. A cake was served and some gifts given, with a good time had by all.
A party was also held April 19 at Leisure Gardens in Presque Isle. He resides at Leisure Village and has friends at both facilities.
Bill McConnell still cooks his own meals and bakes bread. He sings often, mostly ballads and oldies, and plays cards.
A cake was served by Donna Downing and Gloria Curtis and gifts were given. Stories of old times were shared by all.
