Volunteers sought for Daze

The Mapleton Daze Committee is looking for volunteers to help with setup, children’s games, face painting, bounce houses, crafts and take down on Saturday, June 27, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
You can come for the whole time or pick a two-hour shift of either: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., or 1-3 p.m. If it rains, all events will be held at the Lion’s Hall. Please call Lyn Frederick at 764-6561 or 540-1465 if you can help out.

Father’s Day Breakfast
The Chapman Ridge Runners Snowmobile and ATV Club will be hosting a public Father’s Day Breakfast on Sunday, June 21, from 7-10:30 a.m. at the clubhouse at 94 Town Hall Rd. in West Chapman. The cost is $7 for adults, $3 for children 6-11 and children under 6 are free. The menu will include pancakes, fried eggs, bacon or sausage, beans, toast, muffins, juice and coffee. Year-end ceremonies
As the year comes to a close, Mapleton Elementary School will be holding several awards ceremonies. The pre-K students will be graduating on Friday, June 12, during two separate ceremonies, one at 9 a.m. and the second at 1 p.m.
The fifth graders will celebrate with a promotion and awards ceremony on Monday, June 15, 8:30 a.m. The last day of the school year will be on Tuesday, June 16, with a noon dismissal time.
