The Sargent and Tweedie Bandstand in Mars Hill will present Arthur Cullins and Friends on Saturday, June 13, 2015 beginning at 4 p.m.
Make plans to come enjoy this old country music.
Rotary Club
The Mars Hill Rotary Club met Tuesday morning, June 2, at 6:30 a.m. at the Aroostook Health Center. The guest speaker was John Bonner, deputy patrol agent in charge of the Fort Fairfield Border Patrol Station He has been with the Border Patrol for 19 years.
The Border Patrol started in 1924, growing and changing over the years. Originally concentrating on the southern border, the patrol now handles both the southern and northern borders.
Since 9/11, there are now many more facilities and agents. The Border Patrol is concentrating on working with other agencies, communities, and individuals to gather and process information and intelligence. This allows for a rapid response to address any threats.

Upcoming events for the week of June 10-16 include: Wednesday will feature the Beauty Parlor at 8:30 a.m., Wii Bowling at 9 a.m., Young At Heart Senior Fitness at 9:30 a.m. and Crossword Puzzle Challenge at 1:30 p.m. Thursday will feature Beauty Parlor at 8:30 a.m., Bingo at 9:30 a.m., and Horse Racing at 1:30 p.m. Friday will feature Pawn Bingo at 9:30 a.m., and Karaoke with Larry and Larry at 1:30 p.m. Saturday will feature Karaoke with the Deschesnes at 1:30 p.m. Sunday is Flag Day and will be a free day. Monday will feature Coffee Chat at 9:30 a.m., Nail Beautiful at 10: a.m., Communion at 1:30 p.m. and Gospel Group at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday will feature the Beauty Parlor at 8:30 a.m., Bingo at 9:30 a.m., and Card Games at 1:30 p.m.
All of these activities are subject to change. If you would like to volunteer to help with any of these activities, call Connie or Vicki at 768-4915.
Bingo
The William Cousins Post 118 of Mars Hill is hosting Bingo every Saturday evening from 7 p.m. until done. There are cash prizes. Refreshments are available.
