    PELKEY, Delores Marquis, 78, PRESQUE ISLE, July 6, 2015. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Friday, July 10, 2015, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Arrangements are under the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

    PRESQUE ISLE – Delores Marquis Pelkey passed away unexpectedly July 6, 2015, at TAMC. She was born August 19, 1936, in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of John and Rachel (Plourde) Marquis. She was a graduate of Presque Isle High School.
    She married Percy J. Pelkey in October 1954 with whom she co-owned several businesses throughout the years.
    She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was happiest surrounded by her family and friends and loved spending time with them at her camp in Portage Lake. She loved to travel with family and friends. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Presque Isle and the Daughters of Isabella where she volunteered her time doing receptions for church services. She also volunteered at Echoes Magazine and was a member of the C.A.N.C.E.R. group. She was admired for her strength, kindness and compassion. She will be greatly missed by many.
    She is survived by her daughter, Lisa and Scott Norton of Presque Isle, their children, Nicholas of Portland, Ryley and Chase of Presque Isle; her son, Joseph and Bobby Jo, their children Mackenzie and Miranda, and niece, Ali all of Presque Isle; her granddaughter, Carla and Wes Stover, their children, Madeliene and Charlotte of Florida; brother, Roger and Opal; sisters, Mary and Darrell Leach, Marcella and Edgar LeBlanc, all of Presque Isle, Betty and Gary Allen of Florida, Patricia Garnsey of New York, Nancy Littlefield of Bangor, Myra and Dennis Hoffses of Mapleton, and Wanda and Randy Durrell of Ashland; as well as many nieces and nephews.
    She was predeceased by her parents; husband; daughter, Patricia Pelkey Smith; brothers-in-law, Charles Garnsey and Sonny Littlefield.
    There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Friday, July 10, 2015, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Parish of the Precious Blood with Rev. Antony Alexander Maria Doss celebrant. Interment will be at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle. Donations may be made in her memory to CANCER, P.O. Box 811, Presque Isle, ME 04769.
