Flynn wins junior title at Caribou
CARIBOU, Maine — Hunter Flynn of Presque Isle captured the inaugural junior championship at 32nd annual Cary Classic Benefit Golf Tournament.
Flynn, who this fall will enter his junior year at Presque Isle High School, had a gross score of 162 to prevail in the event, which was held Saturday and Sunday at Caribou Country Club.
“This was a great tournament and a lot of fun,” Flynn said. “It was good to play with some experienced golfers and gain from their knowledge.
“Everyone was really nice to me and welcomed me to the course. I couldn’t have played with nicer people,” he added.
