HOULTON, Maine — The Maine State Police, Troop F, responded to the following incidents from July 12-18.
Sunday, July 12
Update to Trooper Casavant’s forgery investigation from last week. Trooper Casavant charged a 61-year-old Easton male with Class C Forgery. The checks totaled $3,700.
Trooper Bell stopped a car in Houlton after observing its poor operation. The male driver showed multiple signs of impairment during standardized field sobriety tests and was arrested for criminal operating under the influence. Sgt. Fuller assisted at the scene.
Monday, July 13
Trooper Sylvia responded to the Drews Lake Road for a report of criminal mischief. The caller reported seeing her ex-boyfriend running through her yard and then noticed damage to her mailbox. The investigation is ongoing.
Trooper Endre responded to a single vehicle crash on the Oxbow Rd in the town of Oxbow Plantation. The driver was taken to the hospital and later summonsed for OUI
Tuesday, July 14
Trooper Lilley responded to Smyrna for a construction accident. Workers were loading a bulldozer onto a trailer and the bulldozer tipped off the trailer and onto its side in the ditch. The operator was not hurt and the bulldozer was righted and put back on the trailer.
Wednesday, July 15
Trooper Sucy responded to a vehicle crash in Hodgdon, where a vehicle that was turning into a driveway was struck by another vehicle traveling behind it. The operator of the second vehicle was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Tpr. Hafford worked as an ERT on July 16,17,18 to assist Maine Crimes Unit in a homicide investigation.
Sgt. Haines was activated throughout the week as a member of the Tactical Team on the Parkman man-hunt.
Friday, July 17
Trooper Luce responded to a motorcycle crash in a driveway in Eagle Lake where male subject had lost control of his motorcycle in the driveway and crashed, sustaining a minor head injury. The male subject was summonsed for OUI by Trooper Luce after investigation.
Saturday, July 18
Trooper Michaud arrested a 26-year-old Blaine man for OUI after he crashed his pickup into a utility pole at 3 a.m. This is the subject’s second OUI.
Trooper Sylvia responded to a burglary complaint in Merrill. The owner of the unoccupied home had driven by and observed a vehicle in the driveway. The homeowner called her husband and a friend who confronted one adult male and one juvenile male and discovered that the adult was stealing copper. The two subjects remained on scene until Tpr. Sylvia arrived. The 55-year-old male was charged with burglary
Trooper Marquis responded to a family fight in Wallagrass. A male subject called and reported that he and his girlfriend were arguing and things got physical. When Trooper Marquis arrived he found out that no assault occurred and male was mad because his girlfriend left after the argument and locked him out of the apartment. The male was arrested on two outstanding warrants. Trooper Andrew Levesque assisted Trooper Marquis.
