WASHBURN – Rosanna M. Humphrey, 98, wife of the late Milford Humphrey, passed away August 6, 2015, at Caribou. She was born in Caribou, March 26, 1917, the daughter of the late Nathan and Josephine (Searles) Curtis.
She was a 1937 graduate of Caribou High School, was a life member of the Lister Knowlton Post 9389 VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and was a longtime active member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
Rosanna was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and she enjoyed sending cards to family and friends, embroidery, sewing and spending time with her family.
She is survived by one son, Thomas Humphrey, and one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Larry Bragg, all of Washburn; four grandsons, Randy and wife Neisha, Mark and wife Diana, Rick and wife Heather, and Troy and Danielle; ten great-grandchildren, Katherine, Benjamin, Sarah, Nicholas, Carmen, Michaela, Cameron, Connor, Tiffany and Valerie; her brothers, Clyde Curtis of Lapeer, MI, Fredrick Curtis of Brunswick, Maynard Curtis and wife Sharon of CT, Emery and Wanita Curtis of Caribou; four sisters, Idella Peary of Levant, Barbara Coroniti of Caribou, Ella Morin and Esther Hardgrove, both of Brunswick; many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Humphrey was predeceased by a brother, Elmer Curtis; a sister, Mildred Woods; and a great-granddaughter, Miranda Joy Bragg.
Graveside services were held 1 p.m. Saturday August 8, 2015 at the Riverside Extension Cemetery in Washburn with Rev. Bruce Blakney officiating. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the caregivers at Caribou Rehab and Nursing Home for the fine care given to Rosanna during her final days.
