CROTTO, Leo E., Jr., 68, CARIBOU, ME & MANCHESTER, NH, at Bangor, September 5, 2015.
CARIBOU, ME & MANCHESTER, NH – Leo E. Crotto Jr., 68, passed away Saturday, September 5, at Eastern Maine Medical Center, after a brief illness. Leo passed peacefully in his sleep after spending time with his two sons. Born in Bath, ME, on July 13, 1947, to Leo E. Sr. and Verna (Wilcox) Crotto.
He is survived by his son, Thomas Crotto and his wife, Wendy, and their children, Devon and Alex, and his son, Wayne Crotto and his wife, Michelle; his brother, Dana Sharp and his wife, Joan; sister, Sharon Harvey and her husband, Keith; sister-in-law, Jean Crotto; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and brother, Francis Crotto.
A long time resident of both Manchester, NH, and Caribou, ME, Leo was an avid outdoorsmen who loved nothing more than a crisp early fall morning on the lake fishing, walking through the woods or sitting in a duck blind hunting. He loved life, his family, and welcoming people into his home for a cup of coffee. He taught his sons the value of integrity, hard work, and enjoying the beauty in nature. He understood the importance of friendship and was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever he could.
