KINNEY, Nellie Rosalie, 83, PRESQUE ISLE, September 9, 2015. A private graveside service will be held at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle. Arrangements are under the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.
PRESQUE ISLE – Nellie Rosalie Kinney, 83, died Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at the Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle, with loved ones by her side. She was born March 26, 1932, in Nortondale, Canada, the daughter of late Beatrice and Phillip Grant.
Nellie was a 38 year member of the Rebekah Lodge, which she enjoyed. She was a great mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Family was the one thing she always enjoyed spending her quality time with.
Nellie was predeceased by her parents, Beatrice and Phillip Grant; her husband, Emery Kinney Sr. in 2012; a son, Sherdon Trecartin in 1978; several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by one sister, Iris Thornton of Ontario; her daughters, Reta Bailey and her companion, Jim Wills of Jackson, NJ, and Sherry and Dale Hafford of Presque Isle; a son, Emery James Kinney Jr. of Mapleton. She also leaves behind six grandchildren: Heather and Robert Hughes of New Mexico, Stacey and Scot Robinson of Presque Isle, David Hafford of Presque Isle, Ricky and Elizabeth Kinney of Portland, Jesse Gagnon of Florida, and James Kinney of Presque Isle; three great-grandchildren, Tyler Hughes of New Mexico, Carter and Eli Kinney of Portland. She will be sadly missed by all who loved and knew her. She will always be remembered by a special son-in-law and caretaker, Dale Hafford.
