Preceptor Alpha

    Preceptor Alpha Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met Oct. 1, 2015 at the home of Paula Flora. Vice president Miriam Gregg conducted the meeting.

As a service project, sisters contributed supplies to be donated to Mary and Martha’s Kitchen. The mystery gift, donated by Cathy Allen, was won by Darrylin Keenan.
Following the business meeting, sisters enjoyed refreshments provided by Paula Flora, Jane James, Lynne Walton and Darrylin Keenan.
The next meeting will be Nov. 14 at 10 a.m. at the home of Lynne Walton.

Maine Epsilon

    Maine Epsilon Master chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met Oct. 15 at the home of Tammy Walton with Iris Towle as co-hostess.
President Dolores Hutchins called the business meeting to order. Members donated money to the GIFT food pantry. The service committee passed a motion to donate money to the Kiwanis Community Christmas fund to be used specifically for teens in need. The social committee reported that a Toast to the Animals fundraiser will be held Nov. 13 at UMPI to benefit the Central Aroostook Humane Society.
Honey Higgins served her famous peanut butter balls and many Happy Dollars were shared.
Following the meeting, a pound auction was held to benefit the treasury with Judy Kenney as auctioneer. Refreshments were served by Ellen Helstrom, Sue Lougee and Linda Swett.
The next meeting will be Nov. 19 at the home of Bonnie Cowett.
