CARIBOU, Maine Funeral arrangements have been set for a Caribou woman who died over the weekend as a result of a car crash in Westfield, it was announced Monday.

Linda Beidelman, 68, was a passenger in a car driven by her husband, 77-year-old Charles Beidelman, on Friday when their vehicle was struck by a 2011 Mazda driven by Kristen Cook, 25, on U.S. Route 1 near Mars Hill, according to Maine State Police Sgt. Chad Fuller.
Beidelman tried to avoid Cook’s northbound vehicle when it crossed over into his lane as he was headed south, but the Mazda struck the front of Beidelman’s 2012 Chevrolet Cruze on the front passenger side, Fuller said.
All three victims were taken to The Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle. Cook and Linda Beidelman were taken by aircraft to EMMC in Bangor, the sergeant said. Beidelman died Saturday, according to her obituary in the Bangor Daily News.
Cook remains at EMMC where she is listed in fair condition, according to a hospital spokesman Monday afternoon.
Charles Beidelman had been taken to The Aroostook Medical Center and calls for an update on his condition were not immediately returned late Monday.
Linda Beidelman was a graduate of Van Buren High School and a former caseworker for the Maine Department of Health and Human Services in Caribou, according to her obituary.
