Flags will fly again over PI City Hall

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine There have been no flags flying over City Hall for a while now and City Manager Martin Puckett has plans to rectify that. On Monday, Nov. 2, 2015, the city will hold a flag-raising ceremony at 4:30 p.m.

Anyone may attend, however the public should note that the street in front of City Hall will be closed off for the event.
City Council Chair Emily Smith will welcome those in attendance, and Puckett will make a statement about the flags. The Presque Isle High School band will perform a patriotic number and the Loring Job Corps Honor Guard will present the new flags to be raised.
Local veterans from the VFW, American Legion and Disabled American Veterans have been invited to attend and assist in the flag raising. Once the flags have been raised over City Hall, the high school band will play the national anthem.
