Local students enroll at Colby
WATERVILLE, Maine — Area students enrolled this fall in the Class of 2019 at Colby College in Waterville. The class has 508 members and was selected from what was said to be the largest and most academically qualified pool of applications in Colby’s 202-year history.
John Freeman of Presque Isle, a graduate of Presque Isle High School and the son of Stephen Freeman and Jayne Farrin of Presque Isle, as well as Dylan Shaw of Mapleton, a graduate of Presque Isle High School and the son of Mark and Jacqueline Shaw of Presque Isle, are among those joining Colby’s rosters.
The class includes 33 Presidential Scholars, 23 Bunche Scholars, and 20 students from the United World Colleges.
