Thanksgiving weekend road race tradition
continues at Caribou HS

CARIBOU, Maine The Caribou Turkey Trot 5K Road Race will go off at 10 a.m. at Caribou High School on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015.

Registration will start at 8:30 a.m. and walkers will begin at 9:45 a.m. Registration takes place in the ski building at Caribou High School. The registration fee is $13. Pre-registration is accepted this year and a form may be found on The Aroostook Musterds Facebook page or via e-mail from race director Evan Graves.
This year’s race will benefit the Youth Running Initiative through the Aroostook Musterds Running Club and Caribou High School Athletics.
The same course will be used as in the past ,heading out on the Woodland Center Road from the high school then out and back on the Lombard Road.
The traditional awards will be given to the top age group award winners in the following categories: under 14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and over, as well as the overall male and female. The post race meal will be the delicious traditional turkey-topped pizza from Reno’s Restaurant.
Families are strongly encouraged to attend this year’s race.
“We hope to see a great turnout this year and really look to emphasize the concept of fitness and the health benefits that come along with it. The 5K is a great distance that even middle school aged children can enjoy and run,” Graves said.
