Sorority sisters meet in PI
PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Maine Epsilon Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met Nov. 19, 2015 at the home of Bonnie Cowett with Ellen Helstrom as co-hostess.
The business meeting was called to order by president Dolores Hutchins. Toiletries for the Sister Mary O’Donnell Homeless Shelter were donated by members.
Judy Kenney shared her experience attending the National Agri- Women’s Conference held recently in Portland. Maine Agri-Women chapters hosted the event, which was attended by women from all over the United States. All seemed to enjoy the lighthouses and lobsters as well as the table decorations reflecting Maine culture.
Nancy Nichols shared her jewelry collection for members interested in Christmas shopping. The 50/50 drawing was won by Cathy Walton and Happy Dollars were shared. Refreshments were served by Bonnie Cowett, Peggy Erwin and Iris Towle.
The next meeting will be a Yankee Swap on Dec. 17 at 6 p.m. at the home of Judy Kenney.
