Wildcat hockey loses two more
Austin Sheehan’s hat trick helped Old Town/Orono to a 4-3 victory over Presque Isle at the Forum Friday.
Jacob Dubay had the other goal for the Black Bears, while Denny Young had a hand in all three PI goals as he scored one and assisted on the other two. Cooper Madore and Craig Schiff netted goals for the Wildcats.
Chase Albert faced 28 shots for Old Town/Orono, while PI’s Jillian Flynn faced 32.
“This was a hard fought game,” said Wildcat coach Carl Flynn. “The team showed a lot of grit fighting back from a 3-1 deficit after two periods.”
At Houlton Thursday, Josh Malone netted the go-ahead goal with 2:28 to play and added an insurance empty-netter later in the period to lift the Blackhawks to the 4-2 victory.
Presque Isle, playing without three of its top players, got goals from Thomas Patenaude and Young. For Patenaude, it was his first career goal.
For goaltending, Matt Lilly faced 23 shots and Flynn 29.
