Technology helps family relive Christmas past
REMEMBER WHEN
Christmas of 2015 was great in the Woodworth home. Our youngest son Wade came home from St. Paul, Minnesota where he is director of residential life for the Job Corp.
We were able to visit at his home in Limestone Christmas Eve where we swapped gifts and had snacks. Our daughter-in-law Jenn connected with our oldest son Adam in St. Louis via the Internet and he was able to share the visit as well. It sure brought back memories of Christmas past.
The one thing that triggered a good holiday memory was a gift of homemade molasses cookies from Sister Patty Shaw, a dear friend from our church.
When I was in junior high school, we owned an old Regular Farmall tractor that we plowed snow with. When it would snow I would plow the yard at home and then do my Grandmother’s yard next door. Every time, as soon as I was done plowing, Gram would open the door and tell me to come in and have cookies and milk. I had to put the tractor away first and then I would visit.
When I got to Gram’s house she would have, you guessed it, molasses cookies and milk waiting.
I hope you all had a good holiday season and are still able to sit and “Remember When …”
