Rotary Club
The Mars Hill Rotary Club met Jan. 12 at the Aroostook Health Center and the special speaker was Sue McCrum, past president of the American Agri-Women.
McCrum spoke about her “Drive Across America” last year. She traveled 17,672 miles through 41 states from June 3-Oct. 5. She was joined by various members of the AAW for parts of her trip and met many great people. She became even more aware of how important food security is and how all suppliers are connected and that “we must all strive to work together for the benefit of all.”
McCrum also attended the recent convention held in Portland in November. It was hosted by the Maine Agri-Women and was a chance to showcase the way Maine does things. The Maine Delegation mentioned in a recent article inadvertently left out Emilee Currie’s name.
Bingo held Saturdays
The William Cousins Post 118 of Mars Hill is hosting Bingo on Saturday evening beginning at 7 p.m. at the Post. There are cash prizes and refreshments are available. Come on out and enjoy a fun evening with friends!
