HOULTON, Maine — The Houlton boys and girls basketball teams will be hosting an “Orange and Pink” event during their home games Saturday against Hermon as a fundraiser for two individuals going through cancer treatments.
Fans are asked to wear either pink or orange in support of Addie Woods, a Hodgdon teen diagnosed with leukemia, and Liz Ervin, a Houlton alum who is now superintendent at SAD 45 in Washburn who has been diagnosed with cancer.
The varsity girls play at 1:30 p.m. and the varsity boys play at 4:30 p.m.
All proceeds of a 50-50 raffle will go to the two families and special pink and orange ribbons will be sold. For more information, call the high school at 532-6551.
