Cornerstone Christian Academy recently held a spelling bee with students in grades 5-8 participating. This bee served as a qualifying event for the Annual Aroostook County Scripps Spelling Bee. Congratulations went to the CCA spelling bee champion, Liliana Wardwell, left, an eighth-grader from Presque Isle, and to the runner-up, Seth Faloon, an eighth-grader from Mars Hill. Both Wardwell and Faloon will participate in the County Spelling Bee in Fort Kent on Thursday, Feb. 4. Joshua Simoes, a seventh-grade student from Presque Isle, finished in third place, and Austin Thibeault, an eighth-grader from, Mapleton, placed fourth. The school congratulates all participants for a job well done.
