EDIBLE ART — Enjoying the recent edible art night at Wintergreen Arts Center are Partners in the Arts members, from left in front, Dory Smith, Jamie Guerette, Heather Harvell, Martha LaPointe, Kelly McHatten, Anne Hemphil, Judy Kenney, Pat Rathbun and musician Brian Mosher; and in back, Hyrum Benson, Gretchen Violette and Kitty Cassidy.
Members of Partners and many outside citizens made edible artful creations to be purchased and enjoyed. The group thanked the Irish Setter Pub and Pizza Hut for their food donations, and Brian Mosher shared his musical talents during the evening.
Another feature of the evening was a fine arts edible art contest and presentation in the arts center’s gallery.
Winners for the evening included: Most delicious looking, Kelly Mathers; strangest use of materials, Heather Harvell; least delicious looking, Corey Levesque; most creative, Hyrum Benson; and most original use of materials, Gretchen Violette. There were additional entries.
The public is encouraged to stop by the gallery and check out these creative selections. Proceeds from the evening will help sponsor visiting artists in surrounding schools and at Wintergreen Arts.
Money is available through grants to local schools who are interested in bringing art enrichment to area children. For more information on grant writing, contact Martha LaPointe at 768-6311 or Heather Harvell at 540-1754.
