Owls await word on post-season bid
Members of the UMPI men’s basketball team will find out today if they made the USCAA playoff tournament.
The 13-11 Owls were ranked eighth in the USCAA Div. II poll as of Feb. 15, 2016.
Coach Mike Holmes’ team most recent game was a 102-75 loss at Fisher College Feb. 13. Kevin Collins and Maurice Harris had 16 points each and Chase Vicaire totaled 15.
The UMPI women finished their season at 4-20.
Janae Libby scored 15 points, while Amanda Hotham and Katie Patenaude had 10 each in the loss to Alfred State, while Sydney Churchill netted 15 points and Hotham and Libby contributed nine each against Fisher.
