Trails best for north

Trail Report
The County is certainly not finished with winter despite what Mother Nature has thrown at us. The best riding will definitely be in the St. John Valley and the Allagash areas. These projects are ready for the snowmobilers.

The northwestern part of The County will be the place to ride this upcoming weekend. All the clubs in that section will be out grooming once the temperatures drop.
If you are planning on riding in other areas, please check with local clubs as conditions will change after the report goes out. Please remember that in the open areas there is some ice, and new snow will make it slippery.
Remember that there was quite a bit of ice that built up on trees and there might be trees and limbs down, so please keep this in mind.
Some trails in the Central Aroostook area that have poor drainage and might have water on the trail, so be aware as you ride.

Trail Info
ITS 92 is in good condition and all clubs that groom this trail will be out grooming it once the temps drop.
ITS 120: This trail is in very good condition and Eagle Lake and Allagash will be out on it once the temps drop.
ITS 83: Madawaska and Red Arrow will be out after the temps drop. Caribou will try and do something with their section if the snow stays and once the temps drop. Red Arrow will be out on this trail and Caribou will also be doing their section north to the Sullivan Road. There is ice at the Park and Ride in Caribou, but a few miles north it gets better.
ITS 81: Madawaska will be doing their section. Grand Isle will also attempt to go out.
ITS 85: Portage North this section of trail will be all groomed and in good condition.
ITS 105: Washburn and Van Buren will attempt to be out as well, although this section of trail was in good shape with good cover so this trail is in good condition. There is ice in some sections, so please be careful.
Trails that are in the woods have been in better condition than trails that are out in the open.
