MacPHERSON, Howard A., 69, BRIDGEWATER, March 12, 2016. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 16, at the Full Gospel Assembly, Bridgewater. Arrangements are under the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home.
BRIDGEWATER – Howard A. MacPherson, 69 passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at his home. He was born April 29, 1946, in Houlton, the son of Clarence and Mildred (Ewings) MacPherson.
He worked for the Bradbury Barrel Co. for over 30 years. Howard was a hard worker, always working to get things done. He was a faithful and active member of the Full Gospel Assembly in Bridgewater, and did Monday night ministry at the nursing home in Mars Hill for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jean (Smith) MacPherson of Bridgewater; two sons, Paul of Rocky Mount, VA, and Clarence “Tate” and his wife, Katelyn of Caribou; two daughters, Carolanne Sury and her husband, Mark of Elgin, SC, and Julia Harris and her husband, Owen of Fort Fairfield; a brother, John MacPherson and his wife, Betty of Bellingham, MA; a sister, Reta Hersey and her husband, Harlan of Bridgewater; nine grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his faithful dog and companion, Goldie.
He was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Lint; and his aunt, Rita Ewings.
Friends called 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at the Full Gospel Assembly, Bridgewater, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, with Pastor John Randall officiating.
