Student artwork to be showcased at Visions

    HOULTON — The Southern Aroostook Cultural Arts Project is once again hosting the “Seeds of Creativity Student Art Show” in the Blue Moon Gallery at ‘Visions’, 66 Main St. in Houlton.

    ON DISPLAY — The artistic talents of many Houlton High School students is now on display at the Visions/Blue Moon Gallery in downtown Houlton.

    The opening reception will be held on Friday, April 8th at Visions, from 4-6 pm. The show will run the entire month of April and through May 20th … to give everyone a chance to view the current work of our community’s future artists in the making.
    The artwork encompasses many media and styles of Aroostook county area, from elementary and high school students from age kindergarten to 12th grade.
    Past Visions & Blue Moon Gallery student shows at SACAP, have been an excellent way to show that art is a very important part of the culture of northern Maine. While there, visitors can also view the art of artists and artisans that display and sell their amazing creations in our Visions store, as well as being able to see how SACAP is providing a place in the community to showcase the many types of art there are. Their patrons and supporters not only help SACAP to support the arts in our community but also allows them to support artists.
    Be sure to stop in and show your support of these very talented young people. The show will also be available for viewing during SACAP’s regular business hours: Wednesdays through Fridays, noon to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
    Refreshments will be served during the reception.
