My Best Friend

Mrs. Boone
My dog is very special to me.
His white coat shines
in the sparkling snow.
His name is Micky!
He sits and jumps
to put on a show.
Even though he runs away
from me against my wishes,
He comes home with lots of love,
And smothers me in kisses!
He even catches a ball
coming from above.
At the end of the day and I feel bad,
He comforts me the best
And I’m no longer sad.
Together
we’ll go along in this quest.
A smile he lends,
And together
we’ll remain best friends.
