Sen. Edgecomb presides
AUGUSTA, Maine – On March 31, 2016, Senator Peter Edgecomb (R-Aroostook) presided over the Maine State Senate.
It is a legislative tradition that members who are termed out or have chosen not to seek re-election have the opportunity to serve as President Pro Tem during a legislative session.
Edgecomb recently announced he would not seek another Senate term.
